Hmhm I started thinking they both have the same rival role, they're both mean to the party for no given reason and spout out insults like "chickwuss" and "riff-raff", both run up to other people to yell/demand things of them and believe it will work when it doesn't, and have quirky flunkies who follow them around for reasons no one knows. Both are also really confusing in-universe as I have no clue why Seifer didn't get kicked out of Balamb just like I don't know how Dona became sanctioned as a summoner. The only real development Seifer has that may make him more likable to people is the whole knight thing, which again, just disturbed me more than anything since there was nothing actually sympathetic about him in terms of personality development or backstory. ... and even then you could make the argument Dona has a similar catch, since she IS a summoner, so you'd assume she'd be willing to sacrifice to stop Sin, which is actually much more admirable than vaguely dreaming about being a knight so... yeah, something now seems really off there to me, lol.

Huh, I didn't remember any of that. I've noticed my memory of this game gets a lot fuzzier once it starts centering on Seymour, I think I probably banged my head against something in frustration at Seymour and lost my memory that way, lol. That is curious though, since it is good that she'll help with sendings, and I still really want to know how people become summoners since a lot of questions seem to revolve around that.

Yeah, I know that Wakka gets over the Al Bhed thing later, but when he spends so much time early on in the game getting angry at everything they do, even if it has nothing to do with machina, it makes it hard to like him... plus, forced blitzball match. I know that Kimahri isn't very social, but they could've shown that without having him be mute for the first part of the game, as well as balanced his story better since you don't even have any clue why he's there until you get to the Moonflow.

I've noticed that too, lol, which is funny since that's still a young adult really... and some go the ultra questionable route and make everyone moe, so everyone looks like children regardless of their age. I do miss how in the SNES era 27 was more the AVERAGE age of your party, even if there was usually one or two kids (like Gau or Rydia), almost everyone was over 20, with some safely being old geezers.

Thank you!
